"Hell, fear me; I am the one that will bring you down!"

In light of the rapture beginning tomorrow, I figured I'd post a song that tells the place in which I'm inevitably going to be spending an eternity that I'm not gonna be made a bitch.

For Today - "Devastator"

These guys are actually a Christian band, but I have to say this song is pretty cool.
Enjoy.

And, Keep Rockin'!

Envy On The Coast

I posted earlier today, which I don't normally do, but I wasn't too happy with that post as I'm actually not a huge fan of the band Emmure. This band, however, is one that I instantly liked and couldn't stop listening to for at least a week. Envy On The Coast is an alternative rock band out of Long Island, New York. They have a self-titled EP, released in 2006, followed by two full-lengths (Lucy Gray, 2007, and Lowcountry, 2010). Their current band members include: Ryan Hunter (vocals, guitar), Sal Bossio (guitar, keyboard, vocals), Brian Byrne (guitar, vocals), Jeremy Velardi (bass), and Doug Rogells (touring drummer). Apparently, they don't have a permanent drummer, so on the road, drummers change pretty often.

This guy (Ryan) writes some amazing lyrics and has an amazing voice to boot.
I'm going to get to the music now because that's my favorite part!

"Mirrors"
(This was the first song I heard from these guys and was instantly hooked.)

"The Gift a Paralysis"

"Starving Your Friends"
(Includes lyrics and one of my favorites...it's a little slower, but picks up a bit)

Emmure

Well, I found a part time job to go with my full time classes and as you all may have noticed, I haven't been making as many posts. I apologize again for this and as I said before, I'll do my best to get on here as often as possible. I'm going to attempt to make at least 2-3 posts a week from now on.

Now, for today's band, Emmure. They're a metal band out of Connecticut that was formed in 2003, with a total of seven releases. Two of which were demos (Nine Eleven Zero Four and Demo 2005) and and EP released through a local label (The Complete uide to Needle Work). They released their first full-length, Goodby to the Gallows through Victory Records in 2007 and followd with The Respect Issue (2008), Felony (2009), and Speaker of the Dead (2011). Current band members are: Jesse Ketive (guitar), Mark Davis (bass), Frankie Palmeri (vocals), Mike "Harvey" Kaabe (drums), and Mike Mulholland (guitar).

So now we get to the music!

"The Key to Keeping the Show Fresh...I'm Dead"

"I Thought You Met Telly and Turned Me Into Casper"

"Soundwave Superior"

I honestly only know a couple tracks by this band. I hate when the vocalist attempts to sing as he does in some songs...it's just sad. They're one of those bands that brings something good to table once or twice per album and you have to get used to the rest. I hope you enjoyed, if not, my next post is on something a little catchier and less metal.

Keep Rockin'!

Circa Survive

First of all, I want to apologize for not posting as much recently. As I've mentioned before, I started school and the workload is beginning to have it's affects. I'm also searching for a job in the mean time...
That being said, today I'm featuring the band Circa Survive. They're are pretty chill group; good for those relaxing or pondering moments in life.

Circa Survive is a progressive rock band out of Philadelphia, PA formed in 2004, consisting of Anthony Green (ex-vocalist for Saosin) and members of the, now disbanded group, This Day Forward. On Mrch 18, 2005 they released an EP: The Inuit Sessions. After being signed with Equal Vision Records they released their premier album Jutuna (April 29, 2005) followed by On Letting Go (May 29, 2007) and Blue Sky Noise (2008). They then released a second EP containing five tracks: Appendage. And I hear they're now working on a new full-length, but we'll have to see if that's true in the (hopefully) near future.

Today was a dull and gloomy, rainy day. These guys, for some reason, reflect that type of day for me and make it all better. Let's get to the music...

"In Fear And Faith"
(one of my favorites)

"Living Together"
(another personal favorite)

"Stare Like You'll Stay"
(this is actually my first time hearing this, not too bad)

That's all I got for now...
Keep Rockin'!
